Our Firm
The firm, as presently constituted, was established by Alto V. Lee, III and Huey Dwight McInish in 1948. Its roots may be traced, however, through Lee & Lee, William L. Lee, and Alto V. Lee as far back as the late 1800’s.
Lee, Livingston, Lee & Nichols, P.C. is an “AV” rated, full service law firm, listed in the Register of Preeminent Attorneys. It is principally a litigation firm specializing in the defense of those who have been sued. All partners in the firm are litigators, and collectively litigate cases in the areas of personal injury, product liability, vehicular claims, premises liability, medical negligence, workers’ compensation, employment law and discrimination claims, railroad litigation and commercial disputes.
To effectively serve its diverse client base, the members of the firm also offer representation in typically non-litigious fields such as real estate, transactional law, healthcare law, creditors’ rights in bankruptcy and estate and probate law.

The tradition continues to date with the firm’s representation of an extensive number of insurers and corporate clients. The members of the firm regularly litigate, in counties throughout Alabama and in all federal courts, a wide variety of claims involving personal injury, property damage or other monetary or equitable relief.

The firm maintains a full service real estate department offering its clients closing and title examination services. Lee, Livingston, Lee & Nichols, P.C. is an authorized agent for issuance of title insurance through First American Title Insurance Company. Several members of the firm are experienced transactional law attorneys with many years of experience in the representation of clients involved in complex commercial transactions. The attorneys and staff provide: residential real estate closings, commercial real estate closings, secured transactions, business organizations, and escrow services.
